Eva Longoria: Hosting Alma Awards with George Lopez!

Eva Longoria wears two different outfits on the set of Desperate Housewives on Tuesday (July 12) in Los Angeles.



The 36-year-old actress shot some scenes with co-star Ricardo Chavira who plays her husband in the ABC dramedy.



Eva will be co-hosting the 2011 Alma Awards with George Lopez on Friday, Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. on NBC.



This year marks the return of the award show after it was canceled in 2010 when it didn’t have a broadcast partner.



“NBC is proud to join with the NCLR ALMA Awards so that we can recognize the outstanding achievements of Hispanic artists with this national showcase,” the network’s Alternative Programming EVP, Paul Telegdy, said about the show, which Eva will also help executive produce.

EVA Longoria has traded the publicity trail, spruiking her new cookbook, for a Mexican getaway with her 26-year-old boyfriend the Daily Mail reports.

In recent weeks, the actress has been promoting her first cookbook Eva's Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends. It's not her first food venture - in 2008 she opened her first restaurant, Beso, in Los Angeles.

"I really consider the restaurant as an extension of my living room," she told the Los Angeles Times, "I can come here to enjoy a night with my friends. I have all my meetings here, and when I host required parties I usually have them here."
Longoria and Cruz reportedly began dating in February. The actress divorced French basketballer Tony Parker after four years of marriage last year.

In the upcoming April 2011 issue of Allure magazine, Eva Longoria, the ex-Mrs. Tony Parker, dished about the hardships of parting ways with her NBA superstar husband and how their breakup dramatically changed her life.

“Every time I talk about it, I want to cry,” Longoria admitted in an interview for the mag’s April issue. “It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama.”

Longoria, who separated from Parker in November, is still readjusting to life without the San Antonio baller.

“Today is such a typical day. I woke up and worked out. I do an interview, then I’ve got to go to work, and tonight, I have a dinner meeting,” the actress said. “It’s kind of weird because my life is – I’m kind of having to find new patterns because I’m not used to having – I’m used to always being on a plane and flying to a basketball game.”

“When you go through something as devastating as a divorce, you just want to be surrounded by people who care for you,” she said of her roommates. “I don’t know what I’d do without them.”
